The Khukri-class (Project 25) are guided-missile corvettes built for the Indian Navy, the predecessor design to the later, larger Kora-class, providing coastal anti-surface and limited air-defence capability since the late 1980s.[1]
Khukri-class corvettes displace 1,423 tons full load, measuring 91.1 m in length with a 10.5 m beam and 4 m draught. Powered by two SEMT Pielstick/Kirloskar 18 PA6V 280 diesel engines producing 14,400 PS, the class achieves speeds of 24 knots, with a complement of 112 personnel including 12 officers.[1]
