The Trinkat-class are fast attack craft/patrol vessels operated by the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard, providing coastal patrol and interdiction capability, and serving as the design predecessor to the later Car Nicobar-class.[1]
Trinkat-class vessels displace 260 tons full load, measuring 46 m in length with a 7.5 m beam. Propulsion is provided by two MTU diesel engines rated at 3,500 hp each, giving a top speed of 30 knots. The crew complement is 33 personnel. Armament centres on a single 2A42 Medak 30 mm gun.[1]
